Assorted Freebie roundup

This morning I am putting together an assorted freebie roundup of both designs and resources. It is wet and we need the rain already as it has been very windy over the last few weeks and is drying the ground up as well as playing havoc with everyone's hay fever.

You can find a nice selection of free patterns at Shannon Fabrics including small quilts, Christmas tree skirts and a great little Christmas stocking pattern that you can use to add your own individuality to.

Flair magazine have a new issue out and you can download the design to make a stuffed toy owl. You can also download the design to make some crazy patchwork and then use that as a base to do the owl design over the top.

There is also a download for two size large oval a and circle design intended to be use as a base for placemats coasters etc. They could be very useful designs especially coming up to Christmas or Thanksgiving for those of you in the US. You could merge your own design with the oval in your software and then

Why not stitch out one of the new freebie designs from Embroidery Library in the middle of the large oval if your machine has a large hoop size and make a Thanksgiving placemat
Urban Threads have a lovely Winter Wreath for download.

The wreath would also look lovely rotated and stitched in the Flair oval design for a placemat
Creative Machine Embroidery Magazine has a very good collection of assorted projects and designs for download before the end of December. They include a Monogrammed Cosmetic case from Pickle Pie Designs, Kindling Keeper pattern and design, oven mitt pattern and design etc. Take some time to go through the page and download all of the freebies from the links.

Designs in Machine Embroidery have a free digital issue for download. It includes lots of holiday projects.

Over at Embroidery Designs.Com you can pick three free embroidery designs per week without a purchase. You may choose more designs according to the value of your purchase.

Don't forget to keep picking up the sewing alpha on the Bernina blog. I think that W is the latest letter to be released.
Whilst looking at the Bernina website do not forget to visit their free downloads page. Remember that each of the Inspiration magazine have free download designs that are quite useful. Also take the time to download their free Through the Needle magazines as they have a lot of good projects inside them. As you download each magazine make sure you collect the supporting downloads that go with them. They are on the right hand side of each page.
